“Through working with Leora, I learned to trust my instincts, see my daughter for who she really is, and parent the child I have.”

Katie H. NY (mom of teenage daughter with ADHD + Anxiety)

Imagine

Feeling grounded and calm because you trust the path you’ve chosen for your unique child, even when others don’t get it.

Watching the light return to their eyes as they rediscover their curiosity, playfulness, and a sense of safety in their own body.

Your child joining family outings and meals with fewer battles, more flexibility, and moments of genuine connection.

Seeing them learn, grow, and thrive on their own terms — and knowing, deep down, that you helped make that possible for them.

If you’ve tried all the strategies - listened to the experts, sat through IEP meetings, done sticker charts and consistent consequences only to find your child is still melting down, refusing school, or coming home shut down… or they’re being labeled “disruptive” or “defiant” when you know they’re actually just overwhelmed…

If at home you walk on eggshells, manage sibling blow-ups and deal with daily battles over leaving the house, homework, tooth-brushing and screentime… you’re probably exhausted and at your wits end.

No matter what you’ve been told, your child isn’t broken.

And you’re not a bad parent for questioning systems that clearly aren’t working.

to successfully raise neurodivergent kids that honors their unique strengths and needs and doesn’t leave you or your child feeling like a shell of a person.

Let me show you how.

There’s another way…

What is Neurodiversity Family Coaching?

A woman with curly dark hair and glasses, wearing a black blouse and blue jeans, sitting at a wooden table with a warm yellow wall in the background, holding a white mug and smiling.

Neurodiversity Family Coaching is a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based coaching approach that I use to help parents of neurodivergent kids (Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, PDA, gifted/2e and more) create flexible, thriving family lives and make values‑aligned educational choices that truly fit their child, instead of forcing them into one‑size‑fits‑all systems.

Unlike traditional behavioral approaches that focus on compliance and “fixing” behaviors to match neurotypical norms (often increasing anxiety, masking, meltdowns and shutdown), my coaching practice centers connection over compliance and co‑regulation over control.

As a parent of an AuDHD PDAer myself, I know that YOU are the expert on your child, and together we can decode your child’s nervous system, their unique needs and strengths, then design a personalized family plan and education plan that supports regulation, preserves your child’s authentic self, and helps them build the skills and confidence to thrive long‑term.

I’m not here to fix your child.
I’m here to support you in creating a life, education, and family rhythm that actually honors who your child is and what they need.

GET STARTED

I believe…

that neurodiversity is what makes humanity rich - a wide range of brains, bodies and ways of being, each with their own mix of strengths and challenges. Neurodivergent children are not broken versions of “normal,” but fully human, with real value, insight and potential — and when we honor their unique way of being and give them the right support, they and their families thrive.

Our Values

  • Your Experience Matters

Your family's real insights and intuition lead the way—no more second-guessing what you know is true.

  • Whole Family Sustainability

Kind, realistic changes that work for your neurodivergent child, their siblings, and you—for the long haul.

  • Connection, Not Compliance

Build on strengths with trust and partnership, ditching shame for a family life that actually fits your values

What We Do Together

Understand your child’s neurotype, needs, strengths and interests

We explore:

  • Your child’s nervous system: what overwhelms them, what regulates them, and what their behaviors are really communicating.

  • Their genuine strengths, passions and capacities — beyond deficit-based reports.

  • The patterns that are keeping everyone stuck (masking, burnout cycles, constant conflict).

So you can stop asking “What’s wrong with them?” and start asking “What do they need, and how can we build our life around that” so that we can all thrive?

Redesign your family life beyond one-size-fits-all systems

We look at:

  • What’s not working and the impact on your child’s mental health and your wellbeing.

  • Educational options for your child based on your real-life constraints, family values and what works best for your unique child.

  • How to design a life that actually works for your family and isn’t necessarily centered around school as the default organizing structure.

Together, we craft a flexible, values-aligned vision that works with your reality — employment, custody agreements, siblings, finances — not against it.

Create a practical, values-aligned plan for your family

We turn insight into action:

  • Daily rhythms and routines that support regulation instead of constant battles.

  • Strategies for meeting your child’s needs without sacrificing your own in the process.

  • Clear next steps for trying or transitioning into alternative education pathways in a way that feels doable, not terrifying.

Together we create a grounded plan, and you’ll have ongoing guidance and support as you put it into practice and adjust it based on your family’s real, lived experience.

Parents who do this work with me often say things like:

  • “I finally feel like a good parent again — not because everything is perfect, but because I trust the path we’re on.”

  • “My child is starting to enjoy learning again, in their own way. I can see the light coming back into their eyes.”

The outcomes look like:

  • Fewer explosive meltdowns and power struggles.

  • More connection, safety, and repair between you, your child, and their siblings.

  • Confidence to say “no” to what isn’t working — and “yes” to choices that actually support your child’s long-term wellbeing.

You still have challenges, of course. But you’re no longer white-knuckling it through a life that doesn’t fit your unique family.

What parents who’ve worked with me are saying…

  • Rachel C. (Texas, son with ADHD)

“These last few months working with Leora have changed my life in ways 10+ years of therapy never did. I am so grateful for the decision I made to invest in coaching and change my and my family’s life.”

  • Steph K. (Vermont, daughter with severe anxiety)

“I can now be with my kids and enjoy their laughter and play, even when its loud and messy. Now I’m able to confidently show up and live each moment; and I’ve found that the challenges are not as large, not as often, not as consuming; and the joys and ease keep increasing!”

  • Katie H. (NYC daughter with ADHD)

“Before working with Leora, my daughter’s anxiety made even leaving the apartment a struggle. Through working together, I learned to trust my instincts, see my daughter for who she really is, and parent the child I have — not who others think she should be. We’re now deeply connected, she’s braver and more flexible, and one night she turned to me and said, ‘You get me.’ It was the greatest feeling and one of the best parenting moments of my life.”

Hi, I’m Leora

I’m a Transformational Life Coach with 15 years of coaching experience — and a solo parent to an AuDHD PDAer and his neurotypical younger sister.

I know what it’s like to:

  • Sit in meetings where professionals talk about your child but don’t really see them.

  • Feel terrible about pushing your kid into school day after day even when it’s clearly not working.

  • Try numerous different schools and learning environments but never find a fit that feels right for your child.

  • Question your own judgment every time you consider stepping off the conventional path.

  • Be on the receiving end of judgement and criticism from people who just don’t understand what it’s like to parent a child like yours.

When my 10‑year‑old went into autistic burnout and could barely leave his room, I had no choice but to focus on what mattered most: emotional safety for my son and the wellbeing of our family.

I finally let go of the “shoulds,” the comparisons and the fear of judgment, and made radical life changes that have truly freed us.

For us, the magic formula has been:

  • A slower pace of life

  • Leaning into support

  • Prioritizing time together

  • Time in nature

  • Physical Activity

  • Self-directed education

My son began to feel safe, calmer and more available to learn and play. Instead of feeling trapped by limitations, we’ve been able to find creative solutions as a family. And despite the sibling squabbles, even my 9‑year‑old daughter has told me she now feels happy and free. Most mornings, when I head out for my walk, I feel deeply grateful that we made these lifestyle and educational changes — for him, and for us.

This is why I’m passionate about the work I do. I believe there is a unique path for your family too — and that when you courageously forge that path, you can create a life that feels lighter, freer and more doable for everyone.
